Can you please tell me if you think I stand a chance? Obviously, I am totally nervous about applying looking at the match list and the applicants' qualifications. I absolutely love Derm.
-Step 1: 241
-Basic Sciences grades: all As except for 3
-Clinical grades: Surgery (Pass), OB/GYN (High Pass), Psych (High Pass), Int Med / FM / Peds (Honors)

as a canadian student, where should I do derm electives at?

Hi, I am a Canadian med student.

Am planning to match to the States...am wondering where should I do my derm electives?

Is it better to go for the big names like John Hopkins, Yale?
Or places like NYU, Cornell, Uni Penn-where they are apparently ranked one of the best places for derm teaching?

Which would put me at a more competitive edge?

Just curious if any advice could be given regarding best months to plan away rotations.
Are there months that are too early? How about too late?
Would May be too early?
What would the latest months be? September? October? November? December?

how is the teaching, how was the learning experience, were residents, attending, and chairs helpful
