The Center for Clinical Studies in Houston, Texas has availability for a clinical research fellow, starting July 1, 2008. The
fellow will be involved in a variety of clinical research projects involving the treatment of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, herpes zoster, herpes genitalis and
anogenital malignancy as well as vaccines for prevention of a number of diseases.
The clinical research fellow will have the opportunities to publish and present at local and national meetings as well as to collaborate with scientists in Dr. Tyring's viral immunology laboratory in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC), Houston. If time allows, the fellow will also have opportunities to work with Dr. Tyring in his private clinic.
Since 1991, a total of 25 clinical research fellows have completed one or two years of training with Dr. Tyring. 24 of the physicians have gone onto dermatology residency after the training.
Requirements:
The applicant should have completed a minimum of PGY1 and must be eligible to obtain a Texas medical license.
